Rafael Alburquerque values the contribution of agriculture to the Dominican economy

BREAKING NEWS: BAVARO.- The Vice President Rafael Alburquerque stressed the contribution of agriculture to economic growth, which he said allowed the Dominican Republic to be part of the five nations of the continent that has continued to grow during the first half of the year.

Mr. Alburquerque made these statements at the inauguration in Bávaro, in the La Altagracia Province, the first Ibero-American Congress of pig, attended by delegations from 22 countries, including Spain, the United States and Portugal.

We’re also present at the ceremony, Director of the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications José Rafael Vargas, the Manager Director of the Office of Metropolitan Services (OMSA), Ignacio Ditrén; by the Ministers of Agriculture Héctor Acosta and Leandro Mercedes; Radhamés Silverio, Director National Council of Agricultural Production (CONAPROPE), among others.

During the ceremony, the Vice-President presented medals to several veterinary technicians and professional national and international for their contributions to the development of this important production sector.

At this meeting, participants will analyze the possibility of establishing an International Plan of Eradication of Classical Swine Fever, which will improve the breeding of pigs at the national level.
