Territorial Office of EmploymentBREAKING NEWS: The Secretariat of Labor (SET), within the framework of the Month of Work, inaugurated a Territorial Office of Employment and a local representative office in Bávaro, province of Altagracia, which will offer services to the tourism workers and employers in the zone.
With these offices, the SET seeks to raise its institutional capacity to link offer and application for a job in the zone, thus to improve the coordination of the services of vocational guidance.
The local representation of the SET recently inaugurated in Bávaro, will allow that the workers of the tourist sector and of other sectors receive all the services and assistance without having to go to Higuey.
The inauguration of the new office was directed by Doctor Max Puig, Secretary of Labor, in the presence of the provincial governor Luis Rafael Cedeño, Virgilio Cedano, sub-secretary of Tourism,Ismael Peña and Pedro Rojas Morillo, sub-secretaries of Labor in Higuey, Luz Mery Ruiz, general manager of Employment, Janet Guerrero, of the Association of the Hotels of Bávaro, the lawyer Lucas Pérez Jose and Jose Luis Polanco, coordinator of the Program Youth and Employment.
Territorial Offices of Employment (OTEs), want to articulate offer and request, aiming at providing various methods of services of orientation and mediation, including the creation of the electronic portfolio www.empleateya.net, as well as the realization of fairs of employment in various localities.
Bávaro is a locality of the East area, key zone of the national tourist sector, where is generated an important quantity of jobs.
The OTEs will work to provide effective and dynamic workers to the tourist and commercial companies which set up branches in the zone.
One will also carry out relations with technical and academic training centers so that their graduated people can benefit from the orientation services for research of employment.
In the coming months, one will inaugurate other offices which will be located in the premises of INFOTEP in the towns of Santiago and La Romana, in Azua, La Vega, the National District, in Western Santo Domingo and in other localities of the country.
