BREAKING NEWS: The German company TUI Travel deferred that in spite of the world-wide crisis, it had recorded an increase of 10 percent with regard to the reservations, including for the Dominican Republic.

Europe Press indicates that by area, TUI Travel Company recorded an increase of 10% in the average of the prices of the holidays reserved for 2009, thanks to the strong demand for Egypt, Dominican Republic and Mexico.

Following the measures taken by TUI Travel during the season, the capacity was reduced by 9%, with a factor of occupation of 75%.

In the United Kingdom, one recorded an increase of 10% in the average of the prices of the reserved holidays.

On the Scandinavian market, TUI Travel sold 98% of the reservations for this winter, in spite of the fall of the purchasing power which affects Sweden and Denmark.

On the Canadian market, the average costs of the reservations decreased by 2%.

The report indicates that in Central Europe, the company is satisfied with the average of the sales carried out, 6% more than the previous year, with a factor of occupation of 70%. Concretely, the company underlined its reservations sold in Germany, where after having rationalized the offer, it obtained improvements of its routes.

In Western Europe the average of the prices of the travels operated by TUI increased by 5%, with margins higher than the last winter season.

BREAKING NEWS: The eighth edition of the Latin Music Tour will take place from May 2 to May 4, at the Convention Center of Bávaro.

The Quepe Tours Company announced that the traditional artistic event, usually celebrated in August, was moved in May of this year 2009.

Fernando Quezada, president of Quepe Tours revealed the new dates by explaining that the change was decided because in August, the Dominican Republic is in hurricane season, and that May will allow a larger flow of visitors with much more attractive offers for the public.

For this eighth edition of Latin Music Tour, they are preparing a program with the best groups of the country, underlined Mauricio Rivera, artistic producer.

BREAKING NEWS: The NH hotel chain and its first property in the country the NH Real Arena Hotel is celebrating its first anniversary in Dominican Republic, on the East coast, positioning it like one of the most exclusive and modern hotel proposals.
