It will receive more than 100 golfersExecutives from the Punta Blanca Golf & Beach Resort offered a press conference to announce the celebration of its first Punta Blanca tournament.
The sportive joust will take place the days 19, 20 and 21rst of September in the Punta Blanca Golf & Beach Resort installations, in Macao, Bávaro.
Salvador Llopart, general director of the Punta Blanca Golf Club thanked the present persons for coming; at the same time he offered details about the tournament that is the first one.
This first edition will be dedicated to Teodoro García, our president
, said Llopart, while he anticipated more events in the next years.
Santos Díaz, general manager, explained the characteristics of the course.

The Civil aviation is the best tourism allyBÁVARO, PUNTA CANA. - The future and the development of tourism in our countries is linked to the efficiency of the Civil Aviation system, said the general director of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, José Tomás Pérez, during the inauguration speech of the Third Meeting of Civil Aviation directors of North America, Central America and the Caribbean, that takes place in the Convention Center of the Barceló Bávaro Beach Resort.
In economy like ours, where tourism represents 32% of the gross national product, this makes us concentrate our attention, efforts and necessary resources to make the civil aviation of Dominican Republic, safe and efficient

In the international airport of Punta Cana, between 250 and 300 planes are received. In total, the number of tourists that arrive to this airport is one million 400 thousands and, at a national level, almost 4 million passengers are welcomed in the tourist poles

The Administrative Chamber organizes a meetingThe Central Electoral Board (JCE) asked yesterday to the Chamber of Deputies to declare as urgent, and to give a positive report to a loan of 19 million dollars, that will be used to benefit 400 thousand persons that do not have official documents.
Roberto Rosario, president of the Administrative Chamber, declared that with these resources, mobile units of « late declarations » would be installed in poor communities.
The loan was approved by the Senate, and it is waiting for the lower chamber approbation since 15 days.
On the other hand, officials of 20 electoral organisms of Latin America will meet this week in the country, in order to adopt actions that will contribute to the strengthening of the electoral process.
The inauguration ceremony of this event, organized by the Administrative Chamber, will take place today in the hotel V Centenario. The debates will start tomorrow and will end on Friday in Bávaro.
Presidents, vice presidents, and other personalities of electoral organisms of Guatemala, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Honduras, Paraguay, Venezuela, Uruguay, Panamá, El Salvador, Mexico, Argentina, Costa Rica, Peru, Colombia and Haiti will assist to the event.

« Oasis Presidente », with rain and sunBÁVARO. - The rain took part of the party this last weekend during the fourth edition of the « Oasis Presidente » festival, organized by the Dominican National Brewery in the Blue Ocean hotel, in Bávaro.
More than 300 people enjoyed three days full of sun, of rain, beach and white sand !
Everything shared out between music, dance and a lot of beer !
The festival started formally the night of Friday with a « White Party » animated by the merengue of Silvio Mora and his carrito verde de cerveza
on the beach and continued in the swimming pool with a musical mix of DJ Joan until dawn.
The next day, there was a rally in which the guests and winners of the « Verano Presidente TV » took part and then everyone was diverted with the Podapop group in the swimming pool, where, at the end of the afternoon, one danced on the music of Ronny Revolution.
During the night, the party continued with the mambo of Omega.
Under a light drizzle, the rock’n’roll group of Máximo Martínez made an attempt to continue to encourage the festival but the electronic music which followed encouraged everyone to leap and jump in the swimming pool.
Sunday, crowd was disseminated between the swimming pool and the beach, still enjoying music, beer and animation.

In the Bávaro Convention CenterAuditors from all Latin America, from USA and other countries will attend the Thirteen Latin American Congress of Internal Audit (CLAI 2008) that will take place from September 25thto September 28th in the Bávaro Convention Center, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Rafael Germosén, president of the Event Organization Comitee, informed that this Congress will have a major importance for the auditors, economists and buisnessmen, since they will be able to refresh their knowledge thanks to this event.
During this congress, 36 talks about finance, government and technological subjects as well as Risk managment, Coorporative Ethic, Corruption and Transparency, Government Supervision, among others, will be presented.
Conferences will be leaded by experts, like Dave Richards, president of the Internal Auditors Institute from the USA, who will talk about the Status of the Internal Audit and its challenges
.
Other experts will be present, as Carlos Rozen, from Argentina, graduated in Buisness Aministration and specialist in Coorporative Fraud Prevention, as well as the Dominican Franklin Mejía, economist and expert in Bank Coorporative Buisness.
The Thirteen Latin American Congress of Internal Audit is organized by the Internal Auditors Institute of Dominican Republic, the Auditors Institute of USA (IIA) and the Latin American Federation of Internal Auditors (FLAI), among others.
The Dominican Republic counts with eight thousands of Internal Auditors, whose 60% are in the private sector, and 40% in the public one.
The country Auditors Institute welcomes more than 2,574 members.

Víctor Diaz Rúa delivered the information todayThe Ministry of Pubic Works will assume the achievement of the Eastern Highway, once the National Committee will have terminated the contract with the Dominican Concessionary of Highways and Roads S.A
(Codacsa) that is in charge of the construction of the highway since 2001.
The information was revealed by the Secretary of Public Works, Víctor Díaz Rúa, after he met with the commission of Public Works of the Republic Senate, presided by Euclides Sánchez.
He declared that it will be necessary to make a bid for a private company to be in charge of the works, having in mind that Codacsa only invested the Dominican State resources in the project.
Díaz Rúa said that 1600 millions of the Dominican State had been invested in this project, and that the company did not respected the terms of the contract, since it did not realized the private investment that was mentioned.
The enterprise does not want to retire the contract, because they posed the best business in the world, now the senators and deputies will decide the termination
, he said.
The president of the Commission of Public Works deplored that the enterprise had not answered to the invitation of the Republic Senate, in order to explain the situation and to defend its position.
They, in an impolite way, did not answered to the invitation, and we met with the Public Works, and once we will finish receiving the documents, we will present a report to the plenary of Senate
, explained Sanchéz.
